Think of the moment when an employee welcomes a new child, goes through a health challenge or has to support a loved one. That is precisely when their benefits should help them, without paperwork, without delays, without confusion. Too often, the opposite happens.
After more than thirty years in technology, one thing still bothered me just as much. In employee benefits, everything was complicated for the wrong reasons. Systems that did not talk to each other. Multiple invoices. Scattered data.
At the end of the chain, employees who did not always understand what they were entitled to, and employers who spent more time administering than caring for their people.
In 2015, I founded Segic to change that. Not to add one more platform, but to build an independent foundation that brings order to the whole ecosystem. Several insurers and providers, a single experience, a single invoice, data that you control.
This is what we are building at Segic, one day at a time, with our clients, our partners and our team. And we are only getting started.
OUR STORY
Segic was born in 2015 in Quebec, with one conviction: the Canadian benefits market needed a modern, independent foundation capable of bringing together what had until then been scattered. We started by simplifying administration, then broadened our role to become a true infrastructure serving organizations, their employees and an entire ecosystem of partners.

We want every organization, whatever its size or province, to be able to offer flexible benefits that are well administered and easy to evolve. Our independence is at the heart of this vision. Segic is not owned by any insurer. We work for you, with the entire market, to give you more choice, more continuity and more control.
