Segic is proud to have taken part in Compétences en lumière, an inspiring fundraising event organized by Bénévoles d’Expertise (BE) on April 24. Now in its 6th edition, the event brought together over a hundred donors and guests, raising a record $107,973 to support skills-based volunteering in Quebec.
Segic was honored to participate in this initiative, which helps strengthen the community sector by promoting the transfer of expertise to nonprofit organizations (NPOs).
The funds raised will enable BE to continue its mission of offering free guidance to NPOs in their governance and organizational development, thanks to the dedication of more than 230 specialized volunteers. In 2024–2025, these volunteers carried out nearly 550 mandates, representing 3,750 hours of support to over 360 NPOs across Quebec (source).
This success was made possible through the collective efforts of numerous partners, including iA Financial Group and Groupe GFT, along with many other supporting organizations.
Segic commends the outstanding work of Bénévoles d’Expertise and all those committed to this essential cause, who elevate skills-based volunteering as a powerful driver of social transformation.
